Every good boy deserves favour In a small town, there is an annual tradition of appointing a girl of good reputation Queen of Spring. This year, however, no suitable girl can be found. Undeterred, the festival committee decides to appoint a decent young man instead, Albert Herring. But having received the prize money, Albert decides to go out to celebrate... Albert Herring is one of the funniest operas of the 20th century. The story of the surprising transformation of Albert breaking free from the dominance of his mother and of the hypocrisy of the citizens of a small town is set to music peppered with humorous quotes.
