Description |
Originally the idea of Father's Day came to Finland from the United States in the 1950's. In Finland Father's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of November, and it is an official flag-raising day. The Father's Day celebration doesn't differ much from Mother's Day; fathers get their breakfast in bed and are remembered with little gifts and cards by the rest of the family. A special meal usually follows later in the afternoon. Families also remember grandfathers, with visits and flowers. Send a Father's Day Ecard.
